Evening is the Whole Day by Preeta Samarasan – Set in Malaysia, this debut chronicles a wealthy family that is coming unraveled. 

The Invention of Everything Else by Samantha Hunt - In this surreal historical novel an aging Nikola Tesla is living in New York and planning what could be his boldest invention yet.

The Lazarus Project by Aleksandar Hemon - The story of a Bosnian-American writer researching the true and unsolved mystery of Jewish immigrant Lazarus Averbuch, who was killed by the chief of the Chicago police in 1908.
