Here at the library we usually see an increase in demand for a book when it’s turned into a movie around the time the movie is released. Here are some books that are being adapted into movies that are scheduled to be released in 2013:

Mortal Instruments: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
The Last Apprentice: Revenge of the Witch (will be released as The Seventh Son) by Joseph Delaney
Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks
Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion
The Wettest County in the World by Matt Bondurant (2012)
The Wolf of Wall Street by Jordan Belfort
World War Z by Max Brooks
And of course, Catching Fire (Hunger Games 2) by Suzanne Collins and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan are already highly anticipated.
There will be more books adapted into movies next year, but I’ve listed some titles that have already actors cast. Get a jump on these before demand increases!
