If you enjoy music, don’t limit yourself to our CD collection. Cedar Mill Community Library has a wide variety of musical titles in our DVD and Blu-ray collections. You’ll find a little bit of everything on the shelves, from Rock and Roll to Opera.
Musicals: Old school and modern, we’ve got Rodgers and Hammerstein, The Wizard of Oz, Rent, Chicago and more. Our DVD collection is bursting with musical favorites, and if we don’t have it, someone else in the Washington County Library system will.
Concerts and musical films: Did you miss the 25th Anniversary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concert? Are you a fan of Mumford & Sons? We’ve got you covered. You’ll find a variety of concert films including Adele, Justin Bieber, Johnny Cash, Celine Dion, Queen and John Fogerty.
Opera: Our Opera DVD collection has a lot to offer, including Verdi’s Falstaff, which Portland Opera will be performing in May. You’ll find other favorites like Don Giovanni, Cosi Fan Tutte and Aida. If you are just getting started with opera, try “How to Listen to and Understand Opera,” a Great Courses DVD set that includes 32 lectures on opera.
Instruction: If you’d rather learn an instrument, we’ve got options for that as well. Our DVD collection includes instruction videos for piano, guitar and violin.
