Need to do research for a class assignment? Going on a trip and want to know more about the places you’re going to? Start your research with the online version of Britannica, available new for 2013!
Find it online at WCCLS > Online Resources > Encyclopedia Britannica .
Get an overview of its new features on our website at http://library.cedarmill.org/readers/research/BritannicaTour.pdf
EB Online Reference provides 24/7 access to the vast resources of the Encyclopedia Britannica plus the Merriam-Webster dictionary and thesaurus all with your library card. In addition to traditional encyclopedia entries, you’ll find images, videos, a world atlas, Spanish-English dictionary, notable quotations and more.
If you prefer, try EB Online for Kids, a bright and friendly interface to a world of authoritative, reliable content, including Compton’s Encyclopedia, Elementary Encyclopedia and Dictionary, Geography Explorer, Animal Kingdom, A-Z Browse, World Atlas, Biographies, and tons more for the young students in your life. Look for the “EBOnline For Kids” logo in the top right corner to get started.
The Britannica will be replacing the venerable World Book Encyclopedia Online in our list of resources. Britannica offers the same content with a more updated and clear interface, and World Book, as before, will be available in print in libraries across Washington County.

Thanks for this info! Are we able to access the encyclopedia from home? Or is it only available at the library?
