Off the Shelf: New Classical CDs & the Oregon Symphony

As the Oregon Symphony Season enters the home stretch, we are adding pieces of music to the collection throughout the year that includes the music being played by the symphony (sometimes even by the same artist).  You can also find new classical recordings that were on the top of many “best of” lists for the year, starting with the Oregon Symphony’s own CD released last year.  Take a look.

Oregon Symphony Schedule for 2011-2012: Listen before you go!

Oregon Symphony Season 2010-2011

The new Oregon Symphony Season is upon us and we have combed through our great classical music collection at the library and put links to those pieces the symphony will be performing this year.  Just select a piece below and place your hold.  We’ll be purchasing some of the pieces we don’t have, so keep checking the classical section throughout the year to get familiar with what the Oregon Symphony has in store.  You can learn more about this year’s schedule at their website
